Chapter 12

12.1

Everyone who comes in the name of the Lord is to be received. Then, after testing the person, you will know them for what they are, for you will have the discernment to distinguish right from left.

12.2

If the newcomer is a traveller passing through, help as much as you can. The person is not to stay with you for more than two or three days, if necessary.

12.3

If the newcomer wants to settle among you and has a trade, let that person work and eat.

12.4

If the person has no trade, use your judgement to make provision so that no Christian lives idly among you.

12.5

If the person is unwilling to do this, they are trading on Christ. Be on your guard against such people.
